New York markets, OTC market, NASDAQ, the indices, exchanges, specialists, market makers, quotation protocols, history of DJIA, interest rates and stock performance.
Sep 14 Week 3: Equities & Mutual Funds - Part III
Mutual funds: classification & quotations, loads, fees, indexes, leverage and margins, short-selling, program trading, options (puts and calls), IPOs and IPO financing, startup financial structuring, reading prospectuses.
Sep 21 Week 4: The Exotic Markets and Yield-bearing Financial Assets (YBFAs) - Part I
Warrants, index options. U.S. Treasury market, secondary markets, reading the quotes.

Sep 28 Week 5: YBFA valuation
Bond values and interest rates, present value formulas, yield formulas, corporate debt finance.
Oct 5 Week 6: YBFAs Part II and Money Market Financial Assets
Money markets, corporate YBFAs, Munis, mortgage-backed markets and connection to mortgage rates, CMOs and REMICs, Treasury strips, zero-coupons, tax considerations.
Oct 12 Week 7: Financial Theory
Term structure of interest rates, role of the Federal Reserve, discussion of risk, diversification, transactions costs, summary review of mutual funds, and concluding discussion of investment objectives, strategies, and tactics.
