Gary R. Evans is a Professor of Economics at Harvey Mudd College and the Peter F. Drucker Graduate Management Center in Claremont, California. His areas of specialty are fiscal and monetary policy and the federal budget. He is the author of Red Ink: The Budget, Deficit, and Debt of the U.S. Government, published by Academic Press in 1997, and the co-author, with Howard Sherman, of the text Macroeconomics, published by Harper and Row in 1984. Professor Evans is a co-principal of Bora Software Inc. and was the primary programmer for the Bora Credit Evaluation and Cashflow Model used by the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to train bank regulators. Professor Evans writes articles and participates in many public forums about the federal budget and related matters.
