Pomona College is located in Claremont, California. Claremont lies
about 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, between the San Bernardino
Freeway (Interstate 10) to the south and Foothill Blvd. (Route 66) to the
north. The main street of Claremont is Indian Hill Blvd.
BY CAR: To reach Claremont from the Los Angeles area, except
from Pasadena and the San Fernando Valley, take I-10 to Indian Hill Blvd,
Exit 47. Drive north one mile to Bonita Ave. Turn right and drive four
blocks to the Seaver Theater.
From Pasadena and San Fernando Valley, take the Foothill Freeway (I-210)
east until it merges with Foothill Blvd. (Route 66). Continue east for
five miles and turn right on College Ave. Go south to Bonita Ave. and turn
left, go one block to Seaver Theater.
From Orange County, take the Orange Freeway (Route 57) north to I-10
and go east, toward San Bernardino.
From the Long Beach area, take the San Gabriel River Freeway (I-605)
or the Long Beach Freeway (I-710) north to I-10 and go east, toward San
Bernardino.
From San Diego, take I-15 north to I-10 and go west to Indian Hill
Blvd.
BY PLANE: We recommend flying into Ontario International Airport (ONT),
which is located 10 miles east of Claremont. A cab ride is approx. $20.
If flying into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is located 50
miles west of Claremont, you make take a commuter flight to Ontario, rent
a car, or take a shuttle van to Claremont. Allow an hour and a half to
two hours driving time during peak traffic periods.
