This form should be used to request new accounts for non-HMC students taking courses at HMC.
We can only honor account requests from HMC faculty teaching a course with non-HMC students, department heads, or department secretaries. Please be sure to fill in your name and email address since we will need this information to confirm your request.
NOTE: In order to use this form, you -MUST- be prepared to enter your account username and password on the VMS cluster (Thuban). Don't bother filling out the form unless you have this information.There are three systems that you can request an account on:
New accounts will be ready in 24 hours. The new accounts can be picked up at our main office in Parsons 148. Only the person for whom the account was created can pick up the account and they should be prepared to show I.D. We will not give passwords over the phone or by email. They must be picked up in person. This restriction is to maintain the security of the account.
In order to create a new account on one of our systems Computing and Information Services needs some basic information about you and the person/people you are requesting the account for. You can request accounts for up to 5 students using this form. For more than 5 students, or for varying resource needs, you must submit another form.
